Türkiye Moleküler Kanser Araştırmaları Derneği (MOKAD) olarak, MOKAD 2026 Kongresi’nin (XI. Multidisipliner Kanser Araştırmaları Kongresi) yakında gerçekleşeceğini duyurmaktan mutluluk duyuyoruz. Kongre, 2-5 Temmuz 2026 tarihlerinde İstanbul‘da, İstinye Üniversitesi’nde düzenlenecektir. İstanbul, iki kıtaya yayılmış, büyüleyici, çekici ve canlı bir şehirdir. İstanbul’un tarihi merkezi UNESCO Dünya Mirası Listesi’nde yer almaktadır. İstanbul, Roma, Bizans ve Osmanlı İmparatorluklarının başkenti olarak hizmet vermiştir.
2026 MOKAD İstanbul Kongresi’nde, önceki kongrelerde olduğu gibi posterler yine olağanüstü bir değer kazanacaktır. Tartışma ve eğitim amaçlı yuvarlak masa poster oturumları düzenlenecektir. Kongrenin poster oturumları açısından zengin geçmesini umuyoruz. Kongrenin bir başka ilk özelliği ise, en iyi üç postere EACR Genel Merkezi tarafından doğrudan belgelenecek bir ödül sertifikası verilecek olmasıdır. Ayrıca, MOKAD en iyi üç sözlü sunuma da ödül verecektir. Klasik MOKAD ödülleri de verilecektir.
Her zamanki gibi, dernek/MOKAD’ın desteği ile maksimum sayıda “Genç Araştırmacı Bursu” verilecektir. Kongrenin dili İngilizce ve Türkçe olacaktır.
Kongrenin ana tematik alanlarının “Kanser Biyoinformatiği, Epigenetik ve Kanser, Uzun Kodlamayan RNA ve Ölüm/Yaşam, Canlılık/Sitotoksisite Analizi, Antikanser İlaç Geliştirme, Tümör Biyolojisi ve Metastaz, CTC ve Hassas Onkoloji, Kanser Kök Hücreleri ve Mikroçevre” olması beklenmektedir.
Kongrenin bilimsel yoğunluğu, cumartesi günü yarım gün serbest zamanın ardından, Boğaz’da (iki kıta arasında) gece birkaç saat sürecek özel bir tekne gezintisi eşliğinde düzenlenecek gala yemeği ile dengelenecektir.
MOKAD, kanser araştırmalarında sizi güncel bilgilerle bilgilendirmeyi ve İstanbul’da ağırlamayı sabırsızlıkla beklemektedir…

Dear Cancer Researchers,
As Molecular Cancer Research Association (MOKAD) in Turkiye, we are excited to announce that MOKAD 2026 Congress (XI. Multidisciplinary Cancer Research Congress) is on the way. The congress will be held on July 2-5, 2026 at University of Istinye, Istanbul/TURKIYE. Istanbul is a city on two continents with enchanting, charming and vibrant life. The historic centre of Istanbul is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It served as the capital of the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman Empires.
At 2026 MOKAD Istanbul Congress, posters will again exceptionally be valued as done in previous congress. There will be round table-poster sessions that discuss and educate. We hope that the congress will be rich in poster sessions. Another first of the congress is that the three best posters will receive an award certificate to be documented directly by the EACR Headquarter. In addition, MOKAD will also award prizes to the three best oral presentations. The classical MOKAD awards will also be given.
As usual, the maximum number of “Young Researcher Scholarships” will be provided with the support of the association/MOKAD. The language of the congress will be both English and Turkish.
The main thematic areas of the congress are expected to be “Cancer Bioinformatics, Epigenetics and Cancer, Long noncoding RNA and Death/Life, Viability/Cytotoxicity Analysis, Anticancer Drug Development, Tumor Biology and Metastasis, CTC and Precision Oncology, Cancer Stem Cells and Microenvironment, Spheroid/Organoid, New Technologies for Therapeutic Purposes”.
The scientific intensity of the congress will be balanced with a gala dinner at a special boat cruising a few hours at night at the bosphorous (between two continents) following a half-day free time in saturday.

6. AWARDS & SCHOLARSHIP
I. Cancer Researcher of the Year
(Requirements: Candidate should be a participant in the congress. Candidate should be 40 years old or above and should apply with his/her CV. Application deadline: June 1, 2026)
II. Young Cancer Researcher of the Year
(Requirements: The candidate must be a congress participant. The candidate must have received his/her first PhD degree within the last 10 years, be an active researcher and under the age of 40. The candidate should apply to the congress secretariat with his/her CV. Application deadline: June 1, 2026)
III. MOKAD Special Award
It is given to individuals or organizations that provide services on cancer/public health. No application is required.
IV. Oral Presentation Prize (Best, Second, and Third)
The certificate will be issued by MOKAD.
V. Poster Presentation Prize (Best, Second, and Third)
The certificate will be issued by EACR. Winners will be able to use the complimentary registration for EACR 2027 Congress.
VI. Best Research Article Award
The MOKAD Research Article award will be presented to author or authors of a published refereed journal article which has outstanding quality in cancer research. This is a non-cash award consisting of a certificate presented to the author (a certificate will be presented to each author if the winner is a multi-authored article). The articles should be submitted to the congress secreteriat and one of the authors should be participants of the congress.
VII. Young Researcher Scholarship (For 10 Participants)
Selected master or PhD student. The candidate must be the first name on the presentation. The scholarship covers up registration fee and additionally 4000 Turkish Liras to be used for accommodation or travel support, depending on the preference of awardee. The awardee should provide the relevant documentation for any of the expenses given above. The deadline for application is June 1, 2026. The winners will be announced on June 5, 2026 after evaluation by the Scientific Committee.
